Coast 2 Coast Ireland a Lunatic Adventure

Returning to Ireland after 33 years, I'm keen to rediscover the country of my birth & what better way than doing something I love - long distance running - I have looked at various paths over the years and highlighted two endurance races I'd love to do in the future - the Wicklow Way 100 & the Kerry Way Ultra  - so what better way to reccy than combining the two with a bit of added trail in between. Coast 2 Coast will see us guided by the book by Paddy Dillon "The Coast to Coast route through Ireland, from Dublin to the Atlantic coast passes through glorious mountain and river country and offers an opportunity to discover the heart of the Emerald Isle. The run comprises several linked waymarked routes to provide a continuous 387 mile long route across Ireland. Starting from Dublin, the routes used are the Wicklow Way, South Leinster Way, East Munster Way, Blackwater Way and the Kerry Way. " The plan will be to complete in 12 days 30+ miles per day terrain dependent.

Lots more detail to follow - planned dates 1st May 2020 - 12th May 2020

Please watch this space - we will be looking for partner support groups - please get in touch if you would like to support the challenge
